Dear Spiritual seeker,
Congratulations on your intention to deepen and enrich your life!
As a Spiritual counselor, it is my greatest joy to provide a safe, nurturing environment where any situation or challenge that you may be experiencing is held in sacred confidence and is revealed, healed and ultimately transformed so that you may experience the freedom and Highest Truth of who you are and all that you have come here to Be.
Every Practitioner runs her/his counseling practice in our own unique and beautiful way. No two of us are the same. For this reason, I have compiled a list of frequently asked questions.
1. What can I expect in a Spiritual counseling session?
In a typical session, I will do a short prayer at the beginning and then the main portion of our time together looks very similar to what goes on in a counseling session. However, towards the latter part of our hour together, after hearing what you are moving through, I will give you specific tasks to accomplish over the coming week. It’s kind of like homework or “tools for personal transformation.” One could say this is where the “Spiritual” in “Spiritual counselor” comes in. I might give you specific affirmations, journaling exercises, certain meditations… etc. These are tailored specifically for you in the moment, to bring about greater healing and clarity around what the issue may be. I then end the session with an affirmative prayer that addresses specifically what you are moving through.
2. Do I need to do anything before hand?
Know that in our sessions you are in the safest and most nurturing place you can possibly be. So, I just ask that you arrive with your heart open.
3. Why do you charge and what is your fee?
This is a wonderful question. I am a licensed Spiritual counselor & minister with a Master’s Degree in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute. Prior to being accepting into this program I spent an additional 2 years of spiritual study and classes specifically towards the art and skill of spiritual counseling and affirmative prayer. I maintain my licence in the USA. What you are paying for is the counseling session. I do not ever charge for prayer. Personally, I have been deeply engaged in the New Thought/Ancient Wisdom movement for over fifteen years and have taught many spiritual classes and also facilitated community trainings in mediation and conflict resolution. My counseling fee is 600cny per session. For those who may be in the process of moving through an economic challenge, I do have a sliding scale of 300cny per session. If you are in need of utilizing the sliding scale for now, please just let me know.
4. Do I see you just once? Or regularly?
This is completely dependent upon you. Many people have a Spiritual counselor that they see regularly. Some people come to see me when they are in crisis, and when that passes, they come in every once in awhile. Some come weekly, bi-monthly or monthly. Some people come just once to “check it out” and that’s great too!
